A couple of newer (and still experimental) techniques exist for studying the nature of a relationship. One is called the “relationship chart” (created by Ronald Davison); the chart is cast for the place in space and time that is exactly half-way between the two people’s birth places and times. The second technique is called the “composite chart” (developed by Robert Hand). The Sun in this chart is at the mid-point of the two people’s Suns, the Moon is at the mid-point of the two people’s
Moons, and so on for all the planets. For recommendations of books about all these techniques, see the resource list. (See # 20 for complete details about the list.)
The nature of the synastry technique to be applied depends on the nature of the relationship contemplated and also on whether the relationship is between male and female or people of the same gender.
If two people are contemplating marriage, the technique used is different than it would be if they were contemplating a business relationship. The technique is also different when evaluating a parent-sibling relationship or a superior-subordinate relationship.
As a simplistic example, for marriage, a Sun in Aquarius (female) is an excellent match for Sun in Leo (male) (Sun’s position taken alone — neglecting other planets for purposes of discussion), as long as the two people operate on a spiritual level. This has the potential for the highest type of marriage.
However, if it is a father-son relationship where the father has Sun in Aquarius and the son (especially the first born) has his Sun in Leo, they will cause each other frustration to no end.

Horoscope software can save you quite a bit of time. Instead of having to reference books, websites, maps and other charts, you can just use the software program. The program will contain all the maps, charts and other reference material you need to map out an astrology chart. The program will also do calculations automatically for you, which can save a lot of time. A horoscope program can help you to produce more accurate charts. This is because you won’t have as much room to make an error. For example, it is quite easy to make a calculation error or to map out something wrong. The program will be doing these things for you, so the chances of making an error are not as great as if you were doing everything on your own.
Handwritten charts may be interesting, but a chart created by a program has a professional look to it. A computer made chart is easier to read than a handwritten chart. The computer prints everything out clearly and creates a clean finished chart. Many of the programs also will print out interpretations of the charts it creates. You can either use the pre-written interpretations from the program or write in your own. If you give someone a handwritten chart that is hard to read or that looks sloppy they could doubt your skills. Nobody wants to have to guess at what they are reading or wonder if you could have made mistakes due to sloppy work. Overall, the look of a computer made chart just looks more professional and can really help clients or anyone you make a chart for more confident in your abilities.
There is still some room for mistakes even when you use a horoscope software program. It is very easy to enter the wrong information or make an error when entering information into a software program. If you enter the wrong information into the program then you will get the wrong information from the program. You have to make sure to double check your information. As you know, even the slightest error can throw a chart way off. You also should know the basic mapping techniques and how a chart is manually done just so you can check over the calculations of the horoscope software and the final product to ensure it is accurate and correct. Horoscope software can be a big help and save you time. Software programs can also help you to create amazing horoscopes, charts or astrology readings that are very professional. Just be sure you check over the information you enter and that you take time to be sure the finished chart is accurate.
